My mindlessness

3 and already a backseat driver.....

Driving down a busy 4 lane street, Yea! I just made it through that light!

From the back in a tiny just turned 3 years old little girl voice: "Gwanma!"

Me: "What Sweetie?"

Just turned three: "You can't go through orange light like that! You went through orange!"

Me:

Me: "Who told you about orange lights Sweetie?"

Just turned three: "Gwampa did!"

 Good Luck Superstitions

Good Luck: Fingers Crossed - By making the sign of the Christian faith with our fingers, evil spirits would be prevented from destroying our chances of good fortune.

Good Luck: Knock on Wood - It was believed that good spirits lived in trees, and that by knocking on anything made from wood, we could call upon these spirits for protection against misfortune.

Good Luck: Saying God Bless You When Somebody Sneezes. When the great plague swept Europe., sufferers began sneezing violently which was a sign of death. The Pope therefore passed a law requiring people to bless the sneezer. At the same time, it was expected that anybody sneezing would cover their mouth with a cloth or their hand. This was obviously to stop the spreading of the disease, but many believed that it was to keep the soul intact. Sneezing 'into the air' would allow the soul to escape and death would be imminent. Up until this time, the opposite was true. Those who sneezed were congratulated, as it was believed that a violent sneeze would expel evil from their bodies.

You might already know this one....

I just found out and thought I'd pass this on. It's very useful when trying to read small print (especially in the early hours). If you hold down the Ctrl key on your key board and then turn the small wheel in the middle of your mouse away from you or towards you, the print size will change - it will either get larger or smaller - depending on which way you turn the wheel.
Just try it.

Friday Five (but really six) Fun Facts

1. These get harder every time!!!!!!

2. I wear glasses for reading. (But as I approach 50, I "see" that I have to use my glasses more and more, like right now in front of the computer for example )

3. My son was due March 7th but was actually born March 21st. That was "back" in the days that the Dr. allowed nature to decide the birth date.

4. I have VERY weird, in full color, volume on high dreams almost every night. (An example you ask? Hum.... OK!) The other night I had a dream that I was at the Whitehouse (WTH? I am sooo"unpolitical" (is that a word?)(it is now.))( I know the actual word is apolitical) Anyhoo, I am at the Whitehouse so my granddaughter can play with Carolyn Kennedy () and as I am standing chatting with President Kennedy about all those little parent kind of things.....(you know, the really important stuff he was contending with...) well anyhoo, he just starts to faint and Blam! down he goes. So being the good nurse that I am, I "stuff" him into this great big black garbage bag and haul his dead butt home. When I get home I am too tired to mess with this little ole problem of the dead president in a black garbage back so I just leave the bag in my family room and go to bed. Ok, so then in this dream I start to wonder "hum.... what to do with the body of the President in my family room???? and I begin to think maybe I am in a bit of a pickle here???, and who do I know with a crematorium???? So, in my dream I get up and go to the family room. But what to my wondrous eyes should appear????? The black garbage back is making crinkling noises-in out, in out, in out. Yikes!!! The president is alive!!!! Oh great! Now I am REALLY scared!!! I start screaming for my Dad. (My Dad died 17 years ago)
I wake up. Welcome to the dreamworld of Kelly J.

5. Kelly J has never done drugs. I don't need them. See #4.

6. I have started a new blog titled "And the survey says:" stop by and add your response. Should be fun!
